"I fight for the User" - TRON

UX Strategy & Audits · Creative Technology Solutions · AI-Assisted Workflows · Full-Stack Engineering · Interactive Motion Graphics & Animation

I've spent over 15 years designing and building digital experiences for high-visibility clients including Fox, FX Networks, Twitter, and ServiceNow. Weaving story into every interaction, I keep users engaged and informed.

I've also worked at the frontiers of AI and can help separate the possibilities from the hype, keeping humans in the driver's seat (and more money in your pocket).

Currently available for contract, fractional and advisory UX / creative technology engagements.

Internal Provisioning & Billing Dashboard

Twitter, Inc. — Senior UX Engineer, 2019–2023

The problem: Engineering was provisioning and tracking internal cloud and on-prem resources through disconnected tools and spreadsheets — nobody had a clear read on spend.

My role: Senior React engineer and UX lead, owning both the research and the product.

Process: Interviewed 20+ teams company-wide, prototyped in Figma, built a "one-stop-shop" React tool that adapted to developers, managers, and finance stakeholders alike.

Outcome: $100K+ in annual savings, plus a component library later adopted by 1,000+ engineers across other internal tools.

Alienation crowdfunding campaign
Crowdfunding StrategyInteractive WebVideo ProductionSocial / UGC

Alienation — Feature Film Seed&Spark Campaign

Little Oneironaut Productions — Writer/Director & Campaign Lead, 2018–2026

The campaign: Led every part of the Seed&Spark crowdfunding campaign that fully funded development of Alienation, an original feature. $20,069 raised against a $20,000 goal, 94 backers, including a patron-tier pledge from producer Alex Kurtzman.

What I built: Wrote, directed, and edited a proof-of-concept trailer and pitch video, and produced a steady stream of UGC-style content across Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook. Several videos reached thousands of views, and the campaign brought in roughly 500 new Instagram followers. The campaign appeared on three podcasts.

Built the film's Squarespace site (lookbook, synopsis, updates) from scratch, plus a fully custom companion tool, "Constellation of Support," that gives every backer their own interactive celestial object.

UX Direction for Enterprise AI Tooling

ServiceNow — Staff Software Engineer, 2023–2026

Lead UX direction for AI-assisted workflows within ServiceNow's enterprise platform. Specifics under NDA. Broadly: clear communication and workflow is necessary for a relationship between AI agents and humans. My job was to find what was working, the pain points, and solutions to reduce friction between humans and machines.

Esource website
D3.jsR / ShinyUX + Front-EndData Visualization

Survey Analysis Tool, Rebuilt In-House

E Source — Senior UX Developer, 2015–2016

UX lead for in-house build of data analytics tool.

The problem: An expensive, slow-to-change vendor tool stood between customers and their own survey data.

My role: Led both UX and front-end rebuild - wireframes, prototypes, and production code - without the usual design-to-dev handoff, designing while coding.

Process: Built visualizations in D3.js against a Shiny/R backend, iterating same-day against real data, focused on making dense statistics legible to non-technical stakeholders.

Outcome: Full replacement of the vendor tool and full internal control over the roadmap.

Also: full stack development for FX Networks and Backstory magazine.

About

The bridge between product, design, and engineering.

In past jobs, I've been called a unicorn. I don't know about that, but I will admit I have a special blend of skills. I'm able to speak fluently in design, technical, and product languages, often filling the communication gaps found between these different disciplines.

Where possible, I reduce friction, advocating for what is technically possible and what will ultimately make users happy while respecting the designers' vision and product/client needs.

I'm also a writer/director with festival-recognized film work — if that background is relevant to your project, find more at courtneyhoskins.com.
